What is RSS and how does it help me?
RSS (Really Simple Syndication) is a technology that allows you to read new information that was published on the Internet without having to visit websites.
In the case of Open Offices Australia: you can use your favourite RSS reader to find out about the latest Offices at all times.
What is an RSS reader and where do I get one?
An RSS reader is a software that you install on your computer which looks very similar to an email program (e.g. Outlook). It allows you to read the RSS information from all of your favourite websites on a single screen. Just like your email application the RSS reader will let you know when new information has been posted and will let you read it quickly and easily.
There are a wide range of RSS readers for Windows or Macintosh, some of them you can download for free from the Internet. Here a few recommendations:
- Feed Demon (30-day Trial)
- Pluck (Free)
- Feedreader (Free)
